The Spring school holidays are fast approaching – 20th September to 6th October for both public and private schools. Here’s our roundup of things to do with your family in Quirindi to keep those kids entertained!
Murrurundi Tennis Court will host school holiday tennis coaching from 9am -12pm on 22nd and 23rd September. The cost is $20 per day or $35 for both days; for more details, call Lisa on 0409 654 143 or email email@example.com to secure a place.
This one’s going to be great fun. Three days of awesome circus skills and games for kids topped off by a group performance to impress Mum and Dad! Circus Time workshops will run from Wednesday 1st to Friday 3rd October at the Quirindi Royal Theatre and cost $60 per child for all three days; choose between three morning sessions (9am – 12pm) or afternoon sessions (1pm – 4pm). Circus Time sold out last year so get in quick – call the Royal Theatre on (02) 6746 1755 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you’ve been considering music lessons for your children, what better time to kick off than the school holidays? It could just turn into a lifelong passion. Classes at the International School of Music Quirindi suit kids from 2 years and up and range from fundamental group sessions to individual advanced courses. There are also many experienced and passionate private teachers in the region – ask at your child’s school for recommendations.
Spring Holiday Camps
Two holiday camps will run from Monday 22 to Friday 26 September at Lake Keepit Sport and Recreation Centre in Gunnedah. “Hook, Line and Sinker” will teach kids the basics of fishing, including a fishing pack, rod and reel to take home. “Cooking 4 Kids” has a focus on cooking, for those little Masterchefs! Both camps also feature activities like kayaking, rock climbing, bush cookouts, archery, and sailing on Lake Keepit. Find out more via the New South Wales Office of Sport online.
