Werris Creek

Werris Creek is a town of just over 1700 people only 15 minutes north of Quirindi. It has a preschool and primary school, as well as many other amenities including a golf course, swimming pool, bowling green and tennis court. Werris Creek is also home to the Australian Railway Monument, which houses displays depicting old steam engines through to today’s modern trains. In 2013, Werris Creek was chosen by Angelina Jolie to film her movie, “Unbroken”, with Jolie visiting the town herself and mingling with the locals!
